The Manager Talent Management directs and manages the coordination of talent acquisition, key talent/high-potential development, and performance management to achieve business goals and create an internal bench of top talent.

Capacity to effectively initiate relationships and build rapport with senior leadership

Knowledge of functional human resources disciplines, including staffing, learning and development, HR planning, performance management, and compensation and benefits

Skill in critical and creative thinking to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems

Work well under pressure and with time constraints


Key Responsibilities

Partner with line and corporate leadership to identify and develop talent management strategies, identify gaps, and plan processes to support business initiatives

Act as a liaison with other HR teams to coordinate development of talent management programs, systems, and processes to support the business

Maintain database of talent information, coordinate with management team, participate in succession planning and key talent review meetings, and oversee strategies to accelerate development of key talent and successor candidates

Own high-potential management and development programs that align with long-range business strategies

Develop a strategic diversity plan that ensures a diverse talent pipeline and supports business objectives

Improve organizational effectiveness through the development and deployment of solutions to enhance leadership, improve productivity, and drive a performance culture

Assist and advise senior management on all significant staffing, sourcing, and recruiting initiatives

Build and maintain a vast network of professional relationships over a long period of time

Develop recruiting goals and strategies for the company and hold all members of the leadership team accountable for their respective roles in recruiting and selection

Handle external advertising, applicant tracking, new employee orientation, employee referral programs, and management training on effective hiring

Oversee the recruiting team, including regional and campus recruiters and provide support and motivation to the team

Own, manage, and improve recruiting tools such as training interventions, intranet, and online resources

Provide overall direction and management

Oversee implementation and management of talent management systems

Develop field HR capability in talent management and development

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field
Masters degree in business, organizational behavior, HR management, or related field preferred
7–15 years HR experience; experience in talent acquisition, organization development, or succession planning preferred
